Strategy and perspectives – Introduction
Safely and proactively leading Poland through green energy transition is one of GAZ‑SYSTEM's main tasks for the forthcoming decade. In April 2023, the Extraordinary General Meeting of the Company approved the Strategy of GAZ‑SYSTEM until 2033, with an outlook until 2040.

The document reflects the assumptions of the „Energy Policy of Poland until 2040” and sets out the long-term development path of the Company considering the challenges of the energy transition and the experience and potential of its employees. The Company’s strategy was developed in cooperation with all organisational units of the Company. The document was developed based on the results of an analysis of megatrends in the gas market in Europe and worldwide, analysis of GAZ‑SYSTEM’s resources and SWOT analysis. A PEST analysis covering legal, business, technological and social environment of the Company was also conducted. The key megatrends in the gas market* are presented in the table.
